一般组
- 本校大一以上/硕一以上(不含博士生)学生。（以报名交换学生甄选时，本校教务处学籍系统上之年级為準），前述「以上」包含该年级。
- GPA 達3.20分以上。
- IELTS 6.5 (聽 6.0 讀 6.0 寫 6.0 說 6.0)，該校部分系所可能有更高語檢要求，選填志願前請務必主動確認。
- 不接受法律学院、医学院、管理学院会计学研究所、管理学院财务金融学研究所、管理学院国际公司学研究所、管理学院资讯管理学研究所、管理学院商学研究所、管理学院管理学院公司管理硕士专班之学生申请。

- Capstone and MBA units are not available to exchange and study abroad students.
- Law Quota units are not available for incoming exchange and study abroad students.
- Postgraduate and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery units are not available to exchange and study abroad students.
- Monash Abroad hosts a compulsory orientation for all Exchange and Study Abroad students each semester in the week prior to the University-wide orientation (two weeks prior to the start of the semester). Late arrival will be strictly subject to Faculty approval.

Campuses in Australia
You can study your units across the Clayton and the Caulfield campuses. If you want, however, to study units taught at the Peninsula or Parkville campuses, you must take all of your units at that campus.
- Clayton: Yhis is the main campus, where most disciplines are offered and only where Engineering, Science, and undergraduate Law are offered.
- Caulfield: The only campus where Art, Design, and Architecture are offered but within easy commuting distance to Clayton, and students studying Arts, Business or IT can study between the two campuses, timetable permitting. They must still be nominated to a primary campus.
- Melbourne Law Chambers: Postgraduate law students only. (Not for exchange students)
- Parkville: Pharmacy students only. (Not for exchange students)
- Peninsula: Not available in the application portal but a student with a particular reason to study there can be allocated there Monash University manually.

On-campus accommodation
- Information about on-campus options can be viewed . Students do not require an offer for Exchange or Study Abroad to apply for on-campus accommodation; there is no fee to apply. Once applications open, students can go to the website to register, and complete an application. During the application process students must ensure they answer that they are a Monash Abroad applicant. As rooms are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend students apply as soon as possible.
- Questions not answered on the website can be directed to Monash Residential Services.

- If students choose to live off-campus, they can on searching for rental properties, setting up a share house, things to look out for before you sign a contract, an idea of comparable rental costs, how to budget, and how to get the essentials like internet, gas and electricity connected.
