Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at 91短视频 and are liable for tuition fees at 91短视频 while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

  4. Provided that they meet the relevant academic background and course enrollment requirements, exchange students may take courses across different disciplines, and graduate students may enroll in undergraduate-level courses.
  5. Students can learn a wide variety of subjects from general cultural subjects to specialist ones through these courses, held in the 13 faculties of Kansai University. These are studied in Japanese and students can expect an improvement in their level of Japanese proficiency as well as learning at a higher level of specialty.
  6. Exchange students whose Japanese language ability is sufficiently high as proven on the Japanese language placement tests can enroll in undergraduate courses offered by each faculty.
  7. Undergraduate exchange students must take at least the number of 7 classes per week. Graduate exchange student does not apply to this regulation.
  8. For Master / PhD students: During the exchange period, students who wish to take practicums at a Graduate School of Kansai University will be accepted as a graduate exchange student only if the graduate school of their choice approves. Students who wish to take practicums at a graduate school must search for a professor suitable for their research theme using “the KANSAI UNIVERSITY System for Academic Information“ and submit a research plan (in either Japanese or English) at the time of application. Regarding acceptance at the graduate level, acceptance may be refused at the discretion of the professors due to inconsistency in research content. In that case, please note that students will be accepted as an undergraduate exchange student. *Graduate courses will not be opened if there are no regular students to take a course of a relevant graduate school.
  9. Special supervisors are assigned to students who wish to perform graduate level research at Kansai University. These supervisors provide support for research activities.  Students who wish to undertake overseas study at the graduate school level must submit a research plan (in either Japanese or English), so please prepare this before submitting your application. In addition, please use the KANSAI UNIVERSITY system for academic information beforehand to search for a special supervisor suitable for your research theme. Graduate courses will not be opened if there are no regular students to take course of a relevant graduate school.
  10. Estimated cost of living: The living expenses necessary to live a normal life in Osaka are around ¥100,000 per month, including dormitory fees. When coming to Japan, please establish a sufficient funding plan.

Important Reminder for the Japanese Region
  1. Exchange students who have been selected and granted institutional nomination by the university must submit their exchange admission application to the host university in accordance with the language requirement under which they were admitted (JLPT, IELTS, or TOEFL iBT).
    For example, students who obtained exchange eligibility based on JLPT results must apply to the host university’s regular exchange student program (i.e., courses taught in Japanese). Students who obtained exchange eligibility based on IELTS or TOEFL iBT results must apply to the host university’s English-taught exchange student program (usually English-taught courses offered by international or global studies faculties specifically for international students).
  2. Exchange students who have been selected and nominated by the university may not request changes to the admission conditions after receiving admission approval from the host university, nor may they request to reapply under a different set of conditions if their exchange application is rejected by the host university (including, but not limited to, changing from a Japanese-taught program to an English-taught program). Any such cases will result in immediate cancellation of exchange eligibility and will be subject to penalties and fines.
  3. If the host university offers two or more exchange student programs in different languages, the exchange quotas are calculated separately. Applications for exchange admission under different language requirements are also reviewed by different committees at the host university.
