2026?Summer+ Programs

Neuroscience LAB Program (August 3 - 23, 2026)

+N5 Summer Program on Neuroscience LAB

+N5 is an intensive collaborative lab program held once every year. By taking this course, students will learn some of the current neurobiology techniques. In the first week, basic neuroscience techniques, such as perfusion, gross anatomy of the brain, stereotaxic surgery techniques, frozen section, Nissl stain, immunohistochemistry of the brain sections, neuronal culture, and behavior methods will be taught. After this preparatory week, the following weeks will be divided into rotations, in 3-day blocks. There will be 5 rotations. In each station, one or two PI will be in charge. In these stations, there will be labs for calcium and voltage imaging of the culture cell, cellular electrophysiology, field potential recording in the brain slice, synaptic transmission of neuromuscular junction, and behavioral electrophysiology experiments. Hand-on experiments will be emphasized throughout.

The program fee includes tuition, orientation, cultural courses and activities. The accommodation fee is not included, and participants should be responsible for their own housing.

• 90%?refundable if the student cancels the program before the start of class.
• 50%?refundable if the student cancels the program before finishing 1/3 of the program.
• Not refundable?if the student cancels after finishing more than 1/3 of the program.

*Please note our program is a package, including some optional activities. The fee for activities won't be refunded if you choose to be absent from these activities.
